Chris is an experienced cameraman who is capable of turning in a high quality product in all genres. His repertoire of styles and versatility enables him to shoot for all programme areas including Documentaries and Dramas be it hand held actuality or involving complex lighting.

Chris was  DOP for the ITV drama 'Primeval 2' (episodes 6 and 7), shot on Film in the Studio and on location.

He has  recently filmed 2 x 60 minute  actuality documentaries for RDF Television with the working title of 'Impress Me'

Chris was the Lighting Cameraman on 'The Human Body' for which he received the RTS Award (Best Camera and Lighting - Factual), and a BAFTA nomination for 'best Factual Photography'. 

He was the D.O.P. on series 1 of the Channel 4 Drama, 'Teachers', staring Andrew Lincoln. 

 

'Napoleon'

He has shot many hand-held actuality programmes such as 'Faking It',  'Who Do You Think You Are', 'Teen Angels' and 'Edwardian Country House' which was nominated for BAFTA and RTS Factual Photography awards.

He was  DOP on 'Walking With Cavemen'  in South Africa and Iceland using 35mm, 16mm and Digibeta. 

He filmed the location scenes for the final two-part special of 'Absolutely Fabulous', filming in the French Alps and London.

He was DOP on three recent Dramas for the BBC History department, 'Ancient Rome - Nero', 'Cortes' and 'Napoleon', all shot on location in Tunisia, Mexico and Malta using High Definition Cameras.

Many of the programmes that Chris has been involved with have been nominated and won production awards from the UK and American Academies and Societies.

'The Face' presented by John Cleese resulted in an Emmy nomination for Photography.

Chris enjoys the creative challenge of turning in the best results within a budget and bringing his projects in on schedule. He is always keen to try out new ideas such as the innovational series ‘A to B of Modern Motoring’ which rewarded Chris with a BAFTA nomination for best cinematography (Factual).
